This is the 108th fashion show review I’ve written for Stylesight.com since January 1st.
Thankfully the La Jicarita rural co-op here in Northern New Mexico finally fixed our internet today and I no longer have to write them on my lap in the car outside someone named Margie’s house. Even in a town of 300 people 40 miles from a grocery store an unprotected wifi signal is hard to come by.
Above: Antipodium F/W 12. Pretty cool, all in all.

Somehow Pre-Fall collections just keep coming during the endless late November to February fashion season (Pre-Fall + Couture + soon to be F/W 12) and I keep reviewing them for Stylesight.
Above, Ter et Bantine’s Pre-Fall 2012 - like a romp in a mossy forest with clean lines and a few shots of patent leather.

I’m reviewing menswear collections for the first time over at Stylesight.com’s runway blog. It seems counter intuitive, but sometimes it seems like men’s fashion actually has more going on thematically.
In particular, I’m quite impressed with Kris Van Assche’s F/W 12 - a pleasingly utilitarian (with a touch of fascism) collection.

A look from Preen’s gorgeous Pre-Fall collection, currently #1 in my book.

I’m still doing all the Pre-Fall 2012 reviews over at Stylesight’s runway blog and today, as expected, one of my favorites stood out. Phoebe Philo has made Céline one of the most innovative labels since she took the reigns and her latest collection pushed things forward again.
At first I wasn’t so sure about these looks - it seemed sort of like upscale chav - i.e. super soft leather track pants and voluminous pinstripe jogging suits. Then the furs, peplum tops and ikats started popping up and I was sold.

Lanvin S/S 12 is one of the best things I’ve seen in fashion in a long time. My review for Stylesight here.
