I am thinking of getting the swine flu vaccine. I know it’s a controversial issue, but it’s free and I need to pick up a new Ambien scrip anyway.

Earlier this month, a mysterious group of fashion fundamentalists dressed up as shabby facsimiles of Anna Wintour released a four-part series of YouTube videos of themselves kidnapping and terrorizing Back. (The gang is in fact the Swedish advertising firm We Are Group, which represents Back.) A statement issued at the end of each segment declared that the designer would be held hostage until she stops committing her crimes against fashion, evidence of which would be on exhibit for four months in a temporary 2,800-square-foot “hostage store” in the fashionable Sturegallerian mall — just a Molotov cocktail’s throw away from the site of the original Stockholm Syndrome hostage drama.

It will be all about the tiny Spanish Bultaco come spring. Though apparently I will have to find my social security card first, in order to exchange for a NYS license, in order to take the defensive driving course, in order to pass the Motorcycle test, in order to ride and buy this beauty. When I was about 10 years old my dad, in his ongoing blindness to the fact that I am a girl, fashioned me a razor sharp metal throwing star on his table saw. Over the next few weeks he showed me how to use it, adding to my arsenal of the bow and a Little John-esque staff.
