It’s been 15 years since I was a competitive diver, so I’m happy I can even still accomplish a front one and a half despite my miserable over rotation and lack of height. I suspect my timid approach on the board and lack of good bounce is a byproduct of the fact I have no health insurance.

Filmed at the Germantown Aquatic Center in Maryland, a facility typical of my youth and the reason I’m always appalled by the lack of good public pools in New York state.

Also, as of this post, R.I.P. silver Speedo - after this session the elastic crumbled and the back panel became semi-transparent. Not kosher among gawking middle-aged dads doing laps.
